Choosing An Agent When You Are Selling
At last count there were over 100,000 licensed Realtors in the state of Florida. How will you choose your Realtor?
Choose a Realtor that works:
Full time--You home will be available for sale every day of the week, shouldn't your agent be available to let buyers in? There are alot of "snow bird" real estate agents in South Florida. Make sure the agent you choose lives full-time in the area, works full-time as an agent.
Knowledgeable--The agent you choose should know what is available in the area of your home, what has sold in the area of your home, and be able to explain the procedures of closing the real estate transaction and the intricacies of the contract.
Dependable and Trustworthy--How long has the agent lived in the area. How long have they worked at their current Brokerage Firm; do they jump around alot? Will they hold the highest regard for your real estate investments?
Plain and simple. Are they attempting to list your home for "the sale" or are they earning a lifelong commitment to your family by providing invaluable service that protects your investments and your family in the most confidential manner possible.
Will your agent be accessible? By phone, email, and after hours?
